WELCOME TO ALL OUR FUTURE MINERS for 2022-2023
We are excited to welcome all of you to Fort McMurray Composite High School for the 2022-2023 School year. We always love the energy and excitement that comes with welcoming you all into our building getting to see your faces before the start of the year. We are planning some school visits in early April and also planning on bringing you into the school later in May. Here is a virtual tour we made in 2021-2022.

At FMCHS we are proud to offer something from everyone. Our programs include a full selection of academic programs, complemented by outstanding athletics and extra-curricular offerings. FMCHS boosts the largest and best equipped CTS facilities in Fort McMurray supported by excellent job preparation and placement services. We are also proud to be able to offer Knowledge and Employability and Special Education programming designed to transition students into mainstream and post-secondary programming.

Lunchtime:
Our School Lunch Time is from 11:00-11:52 daily. During this break time Jr. high students have access to the lunchroom on the 2nd floor and the Upper Atrium. Grade 9-12 students are welcome to leave campus for lunch and many students visit the restaurants or college cafeteria near campus (Panago, Circle K, Wok Box, and Keyano Cafe).
After the Winter Break, dependent on behaviour, the Grade 8 Students are also given the opportunity to leave campus. Grade 7 students are not permitted to leave campus at lunch.

Transportation:
Jr. High Students are able to arrange either yellow school bus or city transit. Both of these are fees based.

breakfast program
Fort McMurray Composite High School is pleased to partner with the Breakfast Club of Canada and the Fort McMurray Food Bank to offer breakfast to any student between 7:30-8:00 during school days. Breakfast is served in the Jr. High Cafeteria.
